The Feres Doctrine on the surface was intended to avoid frivolous law suit against the Federal Government by military personnel. Unfortunately over time it has become a get out of jail free card for military officers and a way to ensure the military branches avoid being held accountable. The end results is a system that is out of control and littered with injustice, sexual assaults, sexual harassment, discrimination and legal rights being denied.
